Attention 8th Grade Parents and Students!!!

As this year begins to wind down, there are several things involving 8th grade that are coming up! Currently, there are yearbook ads being sold that you can purchase for your 8th grader. There are also 8th grade t-shirts being sold. These can be worn any day of the week as a uniform shirt. Yearbooks are also still being presold. Lastly, save the date for the 8th grade honors' program!

Parents, MCPSS has been monitoring the weather all weekend and has been in discussion with Mobile County emergency officials regarding the forecast for Monday. Based on the most recent updates, we will have school on Monday, January 26, on our normal schedule. Students are expected to wear their uniforms, but to stay warm, they will have the option of layering either under or over their uniforms. We will continue to monitor the weather and the roads. Matthew Pyle, Hunter Kelley, Sadie Kelley, McKenzie Bass, and Emarie Ely represented Grand Bay today in the Mobile County Public School Honor Band.

Mobile Symphony Orchestra Chamber group visited our school and performed for us Friday! They played a wide variety of genres from classics, video game, and movie music. The band and choir got to experience this performance and get information about their instruments. They also wanted us to know that up to two kids can attend their concerts free with a paying adult utilizing the big red ticket program! It's a great experience and a way to hear professionals playing your instrument! The next concert is January 17th and 18th.
